Manual Intervention Required for RebootAndContinue
I am having a problem with the RebootAndContinue function not always working unless there is some manual intervention. Specifically, the system seems to hang and the reboot doesn't occur unless I move the mouse, press a key, etc.
My code (pseudo-code) looks something like:
About 1/2 the time, the script works as expected (rebooot is executed, user logged back in, NextScript executed). The other times, I have to physically move the mouse before the reboot takes place. Once I do that, the test case works as expected.
Note that I once let the test run over night and the reboot hadn't happened by the time I came back the next morning, so time doesn't seem to be the issue
Is there a more robust way of getting the Reboot to work?
Also, I have noticed when I put the RebootAndContinue call in the try/catch/finally block, it NEVER works.
Any guidance would be appreciated...
CONFIGURATION: Windows XP/SP2, TC 6.12 and 6.30
Re: Manual Intervention Required for RebootAndContinue
I was unable to reproduce the problem. Perhaps, some application in the system waits for the input and doesn't let Windows restart.
Can you reproduce the problem on other machines or only on a specific one?
Also, does the problem occur if you just launch a script that calls the RebootAndContinue method without performing any other actions?
