I want to do stress testing on our application, which is windows based application. We want to apply heavy load during validation of our product license. I mean, we have license key entered in our application & would like to check the response when more than 100 concurrent users clicks the submit button to validate the license at a same time, thereby requesting our validation server to response. So by that we would know how our server respond to those simultaneous requests but I don’t know how it’s possible through TestComplete.
I believe in HTTP LoadTesting we need to have an HTML page so we can test it but what if there is no HTML page involve, like in our case? I even tried recording the script but it says the same thing, “No HTTP request recorded”
Please reply if my query make any sense & would highly appreciate if you can show me the way to accomplish that test.
For TestComplete to do load testing, it's not a matter of having an HTML page to record, but simply a means to generate an HTTP POST or GET request to some sort of service or server.
For example, we have an application that sends and receives XML messages via HTTP POST. We can load test that application simply by utilizing an application that sends the HTTP POST request and recording while we do so.
If, however, your application does not use HTTP for communications, you cannot use the LoadTesting plugin for load testing your application.
