I download the trial version of TestComplete and TestExecute.
And installed them on separate machines,
TestComplete: machine A (Windows XP)
TestExecute: machine B (Windows XP) - TestExecute icon is available in the system tray.
And now, I would like to run the script I was created on the machine A also on machine B, but without any success.
Can someone guide me step by step that how can I do it?
Can I control the script from machine A without OPEN and RUN (form machine B context menu)?
If you want to control the test from machine A, you will need to learn the distribute testing method. The simpliest thing is to use the command-line to run the TE test (if you look in TestComplete help on command-line you can just use TestExecute.exe instead of TestComplete.exe, and set the right path info).
I prefers to use distribute testing method, and it seems that I do the same steps that describe in the help file. And still I receive error message after I Verify from the context menu the host.
The message is ”Verification failed – Host1:Server not started”
Would anyone happen to have any ideas on what todo?
Thanks in advance
Please make sure that you have the same version of TestComplete and TestExecute installed on machines A and B and that tcrea is started on both of them. See the "About Network Suite Remote Agent (tcrea)" help topic for more information on tcrea.
