I have a question about project organization. Up until now I have only used one script within a project to handle most of my testing. I'm interesting in expanding that architecture to include multiple scripts to handle different "phases" of our test procedure.
How do you control the order in which scripts within a project run? I know how to handle run order of functions within a single script, but I'm not sure how to handle run order of scripts within a project.
Bah! I'm an idiot. For the sake of other "idiots" out there who may have this question:
There is only one place to specify function run order, and that list is not dependent upon which script files contain the functions. So, in the same place you create a test item, when you select the "Element to be run..." you can choose from any script in your project.
Depending upon which language you use, if you prefer, you can refer to the help topic "Calling Routines and Variables Declared in Another Unit". Using the techniques described in that document, you can create a "master" script routine that calls all your other routines in the desired order.
