    TEST COMPLETE 4.26 and ORACLE DB

    Hi!

    I am trying to connect to ORACLE DB from TC 4.26 version (VBSCRIPT) using this connectionstring:

    Dim Con
    Set Con = Sys.OleObject("ADODB.Connection")
    Con.ConnectionString = "Provider=MSDAORA;" & _
    "Data Source=sever;" & _
    "User ID=user;" & _
    "Password=user;"
    Con.Open

    But I am getting this error message:

    Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Oracle
    Oracle client and networking components were not found. These components are supplied by Oracle Corporation and are part of the Oracle Version 7.3.3 or later client software installation. Provider is unable to function until these components are installed.

    Re: TEST COMPLETE 4.26 and ORACLE DB

    Well, developer guy said that the provider was wrong, so now I am using OraOLEDB.Oracle.. but new error appears now:

    OraOLEDBpus10.dll: The specified module could not be found

    which is weird, cause this file exists and is in bin folder of ORACLE client.

    Any ideas?

    Re: TEST COMPLETE 4.26 and ORACLE DB

    Hi LTT,

    Probably, it is not the provider module that the error refers to, but a module which is needed for the provider to function properly.
    Anyway, the problem is obviously caused by the provider, not by TestComplete. I recommend that you check the provider's documentation to learn how to use it correctly.
