Mapped Name -- Can I change its source?
When I use object name mapping, I'm getting a default "Mapped Name" that comes from the WndClass. I'm testing .Net application and the object is a WPF app.
The object in question is one of the many container classes used in your everyday windows form. The Class is WindowsForms10.Window.8.app.0.33c0d9d, and the object's default name is WindowsForms10_Window_8_app_0_33c0d9d2 (note the 2 there)
The full name of this particular object is WinFormsObject("MainApplicationForm"), and I'm wondering why it doesn't pull that name up for mapped name. I can't seem to find anying in the templates that would be useful for re-defining the Mapped Name. Is this even possible?
Re: Mapped Name -- Can I change its source?
Name Mapping uses the target object's WndClass property to generate a default mapped name. However, you can assign custom names for mapped objects - just enter them during the mapping process or modify the names displayed in the NameMapping editor (see the "Editing Name Mapping Items" help topic).
