Asynchronous requests in load testing
I want to load test a website. On one particular page a number of requests are sent asynchronously (I think with Ajax), meaning that the page component does not wait for the response coming back before sending a new request. A number of requests are sent simultaneously, and when a response comes back, the result of that response is shown on the page.
I have recorded one flow of this type and I see in my recorded HTTP task the correct connections and requests. However, when playing back this task, the requests are sent synchronously. This means that I am not able to load test the site, because what is played back differs greatly in behavior from what is recorded.
Is there any way to tell TestComplete 5 that some requests/connections must be run asynchronously?
Thanks for any, much needed, help.
Re: Asynchronous requests in load testing
If I understand the situation correctly, TestComplete cannot simulate this behavior.
However, we would like to take a look at the tested web page - we may be able to implement support for these applications in the future.
Could you please send me a link to the web page at firstname.lastname@example.org?
