How to recognize text in image using TC-OCRfeature
I am handling an automation project. One part of the project is to capture the text of buttons, for automation purposes. The object of induvidual buttons in the page are not recognized by "Object Properties window" of TC.So,I have no other go but to use OCR-Optical Character Recognition feature of TC.
I went through the Help docs of TC and tried to understand OCR.I tried executing the sample code given there but I am getting errors and I am stranded right now.
Can someone help me on this??It would be really helpful if someone can guide me or atleast give me a sample code for recognizing a text of a induvidual button in a page which has many other buttons.
Re: How to recognize text in image using TC-OCRfeature
Are you testing a web page? If yes, TestComplete Enterprise should be able to recognize buttons in it if the Web Testing plug-in is installed. If you are using TestComplete Standard, you can try using the MSAA plug-in to access the buttons and read text displayed on them. To make use of the MSAA plug-in, please open your project's properties, find the MSAA option and enable the "Internet Explorer_Server" item. After that, the Finder tool should be able to capture the buttons on your page.

Did you try to work with the sample located in the <TestComplete 5>\Samples\Scripts\OCR\ folder? What error did you get?
