I have a question in test complete.I am working in QTP. I heard about that test complete dont maintain any object reposidary. If answer is yes what about the record and playback mechanism in test complete.

TestComplete does not require storing all objects of the tested application in a special repository. The tool uses the generic way of naming all application objects and can record and execute tests that use these generic names.
However, please note that TestComplete allows mapping application objects with custom names and creating a custom object tree based on the original object tree of the tested application. Please see the 'Name Mapping' and 'Name Mapping Aliases' help topics for more information.
Besides, with TestComplete, you can save values of one or several properties of an object or several objects to a special storage and compare the current state of an object or objects with the saved property values. Please see the 'Working With the Objects Collection' help topic for more information.
