How to dubug script line-by-line in testcomplete?

    hello,

I found that it is very difficult to debug script in testcomplete, it not convenient like other IDE,maybe i didn't have its unique method, so i need someone to tell me how to debug test script line-by-line like vs.net? or how to generate a installation of test script? testcomplete script can't generate a .exe file after debugged.

Re: How to dubug script line-by-line in testcomplete?

    Hello,

TestComplete's main window contains the Debug toolbar where you will find a number of buttons for calling debug commands. If you want to run your script line by line from a certain point, put a breakpoint on a code line and run the routine. When the execution stops on the breakpoint, click the Trace Into button on the toolbar. Please refer to the "Debugging Scripts in TestComplete" Help topic for details.

As for generating an executable file for a script, there is no way to do this. If you want to run your TestComplete test on a machine where TestComplete is not installed, you can use TestExecute, a simple utility that can run any TestComplete project:

Re: How to dubug script line-by-line in testcomplete?

    Hello,

Projects created in TestComplete 3.12 should be converted to the new TestComplete 5 format to be run by TestComplete 5 or TestExecute 5. For more information, please refer to the "Migrating Projects Created in TestComplete 3 and Earlier to TestComplete 5" topic of TestComplete 5's Help system.
If you are a registered user of TestComplete 3 Enterprise, you should be able to download TestExecute 3. Please contact us at support@automatedqa.com if you have any questions.
    Regards,
