Tools to Enforce Coding Standards
We are expanding our use of TestComplete, and we'll have more people writing more scripts. One of the things that I'd like to do is to ensure that everyone follows a reasonable set of coding standards.
What I'd like is a tool such as FxCop that can do more than point out formatting errors. Does anyone have experience integrating such tools into the TestComplete environment?
Re: Tools to Enforce Coding Standards
We have not tried to integrate such tools into TestComplete.
I have added a corresponding suggestion to our database.
You can use the following approach as a possible solution:
Create a plug-in for TestComplete that gets the text of a unit, sends it to a third-party program for analysis and then shows the result. To learn more about creating plug-ins for TestComplete, please refer to the "Creating Custom Plug-Ins" help topic.
