2 columns in DevExpress GridControl

Hiho,

I am not sure if this is the correct forum for my question but maybe anyone here can help me. I think that this is just a "small" problem but obviously too komplex for me... I have spent almost 2 days for finding a way but I have not got it, yet.
I need to read Data from a DevExpress GridControl, consisting of 2 columns and n rows like:
####
HEADER_A HEADER_B
data_A1 data_B1
data_A2 data_B2
####
Would be enough for me to have somewhat like GetData(X,Y). Sounds easy, doesn't it, but I have not got it
I tried the ...DataSource.Item(X) property but I got only the data of column 2. Not able to retrieve data from the 1st.
In an older topic I found the hint to use MainView object. I did it. So I can focus every column by
#####
Set ctrl = ("gridControl")
For i = 0 to 1
Set col = ctrl.MainView.Columns.get_item(i)
ctrl.MainView.FocusedColumn = col

'I am able to access properties of focused column, like
Set FocCol = ctrl.MainView.get_FocusedColumn
msgbox FocCol.Caption
Next
####
This works. Additionally I can also focus a row. And by this (focusing a row and a column) I expected to focus a cell an be able to get the data. But.... It does not work.

As I said. Sounds easy. But after spending almost 2 days I becoma a little bit nervous and maybe anyone can help me before throwing all out of the window.

Best wishes,
Huddel
