Handling Exceptions on a command prompt
Just wanted to know if there are ways to handle exception on a console throught TestComplete. To be more clearer, i have a java based gui application which i run through a command prompt, if there is any issue while configuring any entities in the application an exception is thrown on this command prompt.
So are there any methods or inbuilt procedures provided by TestComplete to handle these exception.
Re: Handling Exceptions on a command prompt
TestComplete does not have any special support for console applications. The only way to work with such applications is to copy their contents to the clipboard and then parse them in TestComplete. For example:
<font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>// Jscript
var p, w;
p = Sys.Process("cmd");
w = p.Window("ConsoleWindowClass");
Log.Message("Console window's contents",Sys.Clipboard);
