Is there a function that deletes all files in a directory?
I'm using for instance
var hello= "C:\Program File\*"
unfortunately it did not work.
You might want to try
var hello= "C:\Program File\*.*"
However do you really want to delete everything in the Program File directory - also if you are thinking of the Windows Program Files directory the directory name is incorrect.

Thank you for the quick reply. I don't want to delete Program Files, I just use it as an example.
I tried with "*.*" at the end but it did not work. Any other suggestions?
Thank you in advance
I suggest that you delete the folder with all of its contents and then create it anew. You can do this using the BuiltIn.RemoveFolders and Utilities.ForceDirectories methods.

Please see the "BuiltIn.RemoveFolders" and "Utilities.ForceDirectories" help topics for details.
