Running TestComplete on a PC with differnt config
I am using Test Complete to test an install program on different PC configurations and having problems with running Test Complete depending on what applications I remove. I have Test Complete installed and working but if I remove Windows 3.1 Installer and .NET Framework reboot my PC and then test the install and Test Complete stops working and I get the following error "Either the installation files or registry data are corrupted. The application will shut down".
Does Test Complete require these files to run? I have also tried uninsatlling Test Complete and then removing Windows 3.1 Installer and .NET Framework and then reinstalling Test Complete and I still get the same error after a reboot.
Any help would be great.
Re: Running TestComplete on a PC with differnt config
I tried to reproduce the problem with TestComplete 4.26 and 4.27, but to no avail - uninstalling Windows Installer and .NET Framework did not cause the problem.
What version of the tool are you using? Please try using the latest update (4.27) - if data corruption occurs, it provides additional information about the cause of the problem.
