I'm looking for a way to build a test for GUI.
Actually, I'm using TestComplete for a fews days, and don't know how it's possible to do this at all...
I don't know if it's useful or not, but I'm writing my scripts in JScript, and the GUI I would like to test is written in Java (Swing).
TestComplete supports Java Swing applications: it recognizes single controls within Swing frames and provides access to all native methods and properties of the controls. So, you can create scripts that will simulate operations performed over the controls and verify that the operations are performed properly (check the text entered in edit fields, get the selected item of a combo box, check the state of a check box, etc.). A general approach to testing applications with TestComplete doesn't depend on the selected scripting language and on the language used to create the application under test, so I recommend that you read the Getting Started section of our help system. If you have some additional questions, please feel free to send them to our support team at email@example.com or post them here.
