Save to text from Internet Explorer
I am trying to save to a txt file (or any other file type) from my Internet Explorer web page. Not having success. Does anybody have a function to do this? Or close?
Re: Save to text from Internet Explorer
Do you want to save the HTML code of the page to a text file? To get the complete HTML code of a Web page you can use the innerHTML property of the documentElement object, for example:
page = Sys.Process("iexplore").Window("CabinetWClass").Wi ndow("Shell DocObject View").Window("Internet Explorer_Server").Page("*")
htmlText = page.document.documentElement.innerHTML;
To work with files from TestComplete scripts you can use the Scripting.FileSystemObject OLE object (see the 'Working With Files From Scripts' help topic for details).
