To maintain the TestComplete I should write the scripts, the TC representative responded to me. Is it correct? I went through their manual and it's nothing written about the black box testing, everything for programmers.
Fist of all please go back and read the FAQs sent to you when you joined this forum - you have hijacked a thread with a question that was completely new - you should start your own threads.
Secondly - and I think I have mentioned this before - black box testing has nothing to do with any automation tool including TestComplete.
Black Box testing is a method used to test an application. The person testing may or may not have technical abilities and does not usually need them.
Automated Tools including TestComplete are tools that we use to test an application and these tools do not care what method we use - black box, grey box or white box - they do what we tell them to do.
To use automated tools effectively automation experts generally develop automated scripts which may use a framework or be data driven. These scripts will be run and the results examined.
Some tools contain a record and playback which is mainly used by salesmen to sell the tool to management who are very easily impressed. Record Playback in the real world is generally useless and causes more work that testing the application manually.
If you do not have technical abilities and are not interested or do not have the time to learn the technical aspects of using an automated tool then test your application manually.
