I've been having problems with the code editor... For example, I'll highlight part of a line of code and press the Delete key - the part of the code I have highlighted is deleted, and additional characters to the right of the code I'm deleting are wiped out as well.
Does your script contains tab characters? If yes, then it is a known issue that will be fixed in the next update of the tool (TestComplete 4.2) which is going to be released in a few days. If not, please send your TestComplete project to firstname.lastname@example.org so that we could investigate the issue here.
I downloaded the TC 4.2 update this morning. I've noticed that with the update, my scripts are taking longer to run (when they do run). Most of the time my scripts are failing - they just hang and nothing happens. When I try to stop the script, the tooltip by the program icon in the upper right hand corner of my screen has "Stopping... appname" - but it never stops. I have to press Ctrl+Alt+Del and end TC4 in Task Manager.
Another tester in my office also downloaded the update and she has noticed that routines are taking longer to execute. For example, she has a routine that opens a dialog box and checks a bunch of different check boxes. This routine used to take about 10 seconds to run, with the update it's taking over a minute.
Any ideas what the problem is with the update? Are there any settings we can play with?
