I currently use WinRunner & its Terminal Emulator add-in to access my companys' mainframe. I'm evaluating TestComplete so I'm making up a list to compare the 2 products. I know both can do automated testing for the Web and Desktop apps. And WinRunner doesn't do .NET but TestComplete does.
Upon reviewing the documentation for TestComplete, I don't see mainframe testing mentioned. I don't see a Terminal Emulator add in with the TestComplete demo program...so my question is "Can TestComplete be used for mainframe testing?"

Currently, TestComplete can work with console applications only by copying text from a console window to the clipboard and simulating key strokes over the window. For example, the following function posts the contents of the CMD window to the log:
