TestComplete and .net 2
When performing unit tests compiled with .net 2 and Visual Studio 2005 it seems like the tested methods never gets invoked by TestComplete. I isolated the problem like this:
I opened the sample unit testing project from the sample projects folder in VS 2005 and the project gets converted to vs 2005 standard.
Following I compile and start the exe file and lets TestComplete find all registered test methods. So far so good. Note: When using VS 2005, simply pressing f5 doesnīt work like it used to with vs 2003, exe runs in Vs2005 context and isnīt open to TestComplete.
However, when i run the tests, with the exe running without in its own context, the test methods never gets invoked and the test log is empty.
Re: TestComplete and .net 2
We are aware that TestComplete 4 cannot find the process of an application that contains unit tests if the process's name has a dot. When an application is launched from Visual Studio 2005, it gets the <process_name>.vshost name. When trying to perform unit tests implemented in such an application, TestComplete displays an error message like the following one:
Unable to find a process with the name "UnitTestingDemo.vshost".
Are you facing the same problem and getting the same error message? If not, please describe the problem in detail and specify exactly what sample you are using.
