Does any one have any experience w/ TC4 and PowerBuilder apps. TC recognizes many objects, but I'm wondering where the limits are. For example, I can map a table, but not rows or columns. Can I iterate thru the table objects to find the rows?
Re: PowerBuilder Apps
TestComplete does not have special support for PowerBuilder applications: it does not recognize controls inside data windows, and it is not possible to make a PowerBuilder application an Open Application. You can only test these types of applications in black-box mode. Please refer to the 'Different Ways of Testing' help topics for details on Black-box and White-Box testing.

Unfortunately TestComplete is unable to work with the controls that are inside the DataWindow control. TestComplete has special support for standard Win32 controls only (please see the 'Working With Win32 Controls' help topic for the list of standard Win32 controls).
However, the NetClient plug-in provides advanced support for all .NET applications. Sybase implemented support for .NET in version 10, so if your tested application is targeting the .NET platform, TestComplete will probably recognize most of its controls. Therefore, If your application is a .NET application then you will be able to use native properties and methods of controls of your PowerBuilder application to work with them.
