    Re: TC permissions

    Hi Lucas,

To run TestComplete under a non-admin account, you should grant this account full access permissions to the following Registry branches:
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AQtest.Application
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AQtimeIntegration
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ProjectEvents.YourProjectName
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TestComplete.Application
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TestComplete.Application.3
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TestComplete.ApplicationTC3

    TC permissions

    Hi,
I try to access TC, but I`m not machine administrator. TC show me that message error:
"You have no permissions to run Test Complete". How can I log TC with no administrator permissions?

    Thanks,
    Lucas

    Hi Lucas,

    I didnґt find this registry:
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ProjectEvents.YourProjectName
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">Do you mean that there are no keys with the names ProjectEvents.XXX in the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT hive? If you find these keys, please grant permissions to access them for your user.

    Error creating system registry entry
Error reading ProjectEvents1.CGUID : Class not registried
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">If my above advice does not help you solve the problem, you probably use a unit from some other project in your project. If this is the case, please take a look at this FAQ on our Web site: http://www.automatedqa.com/products/...aneous.asp#q27

    Re: TC permissions

    Hi bobby,

I deleted .fd file(like the FAQ explain)and the error
"Error reading ProjectEvents1.CGUID : Class not registried" didnīt show more, but the other error
"Error creating system registry entry" occur yet. This error is showed every time I start TC and when i open my project.
Besides, when I try to launch my application this error is showed:
    "Could not load tcclient.dll library"

    Thanks again,
    Lucas

    Re: TC permissions

    Hi Bobby,

The problem with registry is over, but I canīt
load tcclient.dll library when I launch my application. Why this can be occuring? tcclient.dll is in
    C:\File Program\Automated QA\TestComplete 3.

    Thanks,
    Lucas

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">Could you tell me what you did to solve it?

    but I canґt

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">I guess that you have given your account the permissions to access this Registry key to eliminate this error:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Automated QA\TestComplete\3.0\Setup
    Is this correct?
