    Re: Data Type

    Hi Regds,

That depends which script language you are using but you could also use external functions. In my scripts I use conversion functions like stringToInt to find out if I get a String or a number.

I don't know your setup but you could use a dll or some dotNet library to check your data types. In such a case I talk to the programmers to find out what I can use.

    Re: Data Type

    Hello VAG,

Do you mean types of the values used in the registry? Unfortunately, there is no special means to determine the registry value type in TestComplete. We recommend that you create a helper application using some programming language that would check the type of the needed registry value.
Please feel free to contact our support team (support@automatedqa.com) if you need a sample of such an applicaiton. Please specify which programming language you prefer.

    Re: Data Type

    Hello,

By the way, I have posted a script that gets the type of a registry value using the RegObj ActiveX object to the 'Reading registry value type' thread. Didn't this script help you?
