TC not recognizing objects on page after the "File Download" dialog pops up
A while ago I sent the e-mail below to AutomatedQA support, but I haven't received a reply yet.
Maybe some of you guys have run into the same problem and are able to help me out.
Here is the e-mail:
I am currently testing a web application with TC 3.08 using Delphi Script. The application is developed in Delphi and generates HTML pages.
Developing the script to test the application I’ve encountered the following problem:
In the application there is a page which has an “Export to Excel” button (besides other buttons). Upon clicking on the button, the application displays a page with a direct link to the Excel spreadsheet. Clicking on the link causes the “File Download” dialog to show up. After clicking on the “Cancel” button (I am only testing that the file is available for download) and going back in the browser (Sys.Keys('~[Left]')), I am back at the page with the “Export to Excel” button.
Now this is where the problem occurs. The script doesn’t recognize any of the buttons on the page any more, not even the “Export to Excel” button (all the actions described above are performed by the script), although I can see them in TC’s Object Browser. Not even the sequence
w := p.Window('IEFrame', '*');
page := w.Page('*');
(where p is the IE process) doesn’t help.
Thanks in advance.
Re: TC not recognizing objects on page after the "File Download" dialog pops up
I've received the reply from AutomatedQA today, it seems to be an issue with TC, and they don't have any solution or workaround yet.
