HTTP load testing with TestComplete 3.0.6 free eval
I've got a need to evaluate TestComplete for some fairly simple HTTP Load testing in the next 10 days. I've used 2.0 previously for a Windows App.
I've downloaded the free trial of 3.0.6 and tried to record some HTTP scripts. My problem is that whenever I set my IE options to use the proxy on port 9090 - I get no page. I always see the following.
"Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you requested. The page might be temporarily unavailable."
In LAN settings - I've tried the actual IP address of the machine and also 127.0.0.1 - makes no difference. I've also checked in Options/Engine Options - the port is 9090.
I have very limited time to establish whether we can use TestComplete so a quick response would be great!

>>> "Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you requested. The page might be temporarily unavailable."
The reason for this is the following:
TestComplete works as a proxy server only when you record a script, i.e. when the tool is in the Recording state.
So, if you specified all parameters correctly (it looks like you did), you'll be able to record an HTTP task.
Once the recording of the task is completed and you need to browse over the Internet, please revert the settings of Internet Explorer back.
