Automatic filling form
I would like to build a script that will receive a userid and password and url and will automatically will go to the url and fill in the userid and password and will press submit. Also, the script will create a text file and will enter success if the userid and password exists else will write failed.
I like to write it in C#.
the url can be gmail, and user id and password will be the gmail account and the password.
Can any one help me ?
Is there an advantage to using C#?
I'm new to Selenium, but maybe you can find examples that do what you want mixed with Selenium?
My testcomplete knowledge is a bit out of date, when I was working with TC, it was on version 5, then we had one upgrade to version 6 before I left that company to join an RFT shop.
I believe TestComplete has 2 ways of pulling test data. Global Settings (which is a property of the project or suite itself), and the DDT driver. For the username, password, and URL, you'll want to use Suite/Project settings. This will allow you to change configurations for different systems easily. For the test data, I think the DDT driver might be a good way to source the data.
