Advice for the running Testcase
I am use the Test Manager from Microsoft.
I want that the tester to read fierst the Advice and than to run the test.
Where to put the Advice?
In the Step Test or Summary?
This particular subforum is dedicated to the TestComplete automated testing software from Smartbear. Please do not post unrelated topics here.
There does not appear to be a subforum for Microsoft Test Manager (MTM), so perhaps it would be best to ask such questions in the General Forum at General Discussion instead of here.
At any rate, I am familiar with that software so I will do my best to answer your question anyway (it's not like there is any on topic discussion going on here in the past month or so): The only information available to the tester during a test run is that contained in the Test Steps and the Attachments to the Test Case. Any information you wish to provide during the test run needs to be in one of those two places. If you are talking instead about accessing notes about a test case outside of the actual test run, then the "Description" field in the Summary tab would be an appropriate place to put that information. Any information in the Description field would not, however, be available to the tester during the test run unless they used some other method than MTM to access the work item while MTM is running the test. Getting them to read it would be up to you. There is not, to the best of my knowledge, a way to force the tester to view the Description before running the test.
