    Processing ProjectSuite logs

    Hi everyone,

I want to run a ProjectSuite (containing about 12 projects) and then pull from the logs information such as:

    - start time of each project
    - finish time of each project
    - length of time each project took to execute
    - success or failure of each project
    - etc

so that I can put this in an email in tabular form and send out a report.

    I'm having a few problems:

    1) TC provides access to the logs for Projects but not a ProjectSuite. So there's no "ProjectSuite.Logs" member I can access to iterate over the projects and pull out the information using the functions provided.

If we execute the Projects within a ProjectSuite do we pretty much have to load all the tcLogs and associated files and parse them ourselves as xml?

I resorted to doing that and as a minor issue I found:

    2) Looking at the xml output from the tcLog file(using Log.SaveResultsAs) I see this entry:

    <Prp name="start time" type="D" value="41060.6761590278"/>

What format is the "start time" property in?

Any help appreciated on any of the above!

    Thanks

    Re: Processing ProjectSuite logs

    Hello,

Project suite logs are not available from a script. However, you can try using the How To sample demonstrating how to work with log items from scripts.
    Best regards,
