I am trying to set up a couple of keyword tests (I prefer to script but have been asked to evaluate the keyword functionality). I am unable to record an action such as a click without the coordinates.
I set up an action as follows
Click on Test Actions /On screen action
Select the object from the aliases (it has already been mapped and works)
Leave other values as default (which defaults X & Y coordinates to -1
Run test "There was an attempt to perform an action at point 0,9 which is out of the window bounds"
I am clueless as to why it is even looking at the coordinate "9" in the first place as this is not specified anywhere in the mapped item or the script action (which was not recorded)
I then set the coordinates to 0,0 (as there is no way to set them to null as I would in a script (ie click(): )
Run the test again and get the same error but with the updated coordinates
"There was an attempt to perform an action at point 0,9 which is out of the window bounds"
In additional info:
"the window size is 1,20 the top left corner is 1730, etc etc
The mapped object does NOT have any coordinates in the mapping properties - so I don't understand why this is happening - shouldn't the fact that the mapped named object being accessed via the alias ensure the click happens where it is meant to?
