Just wondering if anyone has found a way to speed up this statement.
The code I'm using is:
This is in a function and I simply pass the parameters in.
I surrounded this statement with log messages showing me when it starts and ends and time of day.
What I found was the following.
(the list follows the statement's arguments above)
The following arguments to the "find" execute in a second or less.
innerText-*Welcome to the TestWiz*-DIV
But these take from 5 to 8 seconds to execute.
innerText-*TestWiz Utilities Console*-SPAN
These are all executing the same function with the Find statement in it. Would anyone know why the execution time would be so dramatically different?
A possible reason is hierarchy depth. In general, the deeper your target object is in the page's hierarchy, the more time it will take Find to locate it simply because it has to process more objects.

Ah that's a good point.
Thanks I'll check that out.
