Security Login dialogs and Warning banners
I recently recorded a test that uses IE 8 to access a database. Upon clicking a link to access the site, a security dialog pops up for user name and password. Test Complete maps this object. However, upon playback, it cannot find the object. Using object spy, I see that the name of the object(s) are that which TestComplete gave them; however, TC cannot find the object. I am doing this on Windows 7, IE 8, TC 8.5. Has anyone else had similar issues with security login dialogs and/or popup warning banners? If so, have you found a solution/workaround?
Re: Security Login dialogs and Warning banners
Well, hopefully this will be useful to some of you out there. It seems to have been a permissions issue. After manually mapping the text box and button objects and coding the log in procedures, the script was able to access the objects. Looks like a "brute force" situation.
