wildcards in the datafile or the script.
The application was changed where one field (part of my datafile) was modified to add the birthdate. It is a lookup and the script just select the name based on the datafile. But now it's failing because they add the birthday after the name.
I was thinking of just creating a wildcard within the datafile or wildcard on the script it self. Here is how the script looks like:
Call w1.ClickItem(VarToStr(datafile.Value("Driver") & " " ))
On the datafile for columnn "Driver" looks like this, example:
But on the modified application it now includes the date of birth. Example:
Tom Hanks 09-FEB-2011.
Is there a way to change the script by just inserting a wildcard so that anything after the name will be accepted.
Please HELP! Thanks.
Re: wildcards in the datafile or the script.
Just add '*' to the name you get from your DDT driver. Put an asterisk in your code instead of the space in quotes after the '&'.
