I am trying to use a SQL Server view to perform some data driven testing in Test Complete 8. I have this line:
Call DDT.ADODriver("Provider=SQLNCLI10.1;Integrated Security=SSPI;Persist Security Info=False;User ID="";Initial Catalog=WebPortal;Data Source=(local);Initial File Name="";Server SPN=""","Members")
It was populated using the the db wizard in Test Complete and "members" is the name of the view.
I am getting an error that says:
An exception occurred in the "Unit1" unit at line 8:
Invalid object name 'Members'
Any suggestions on why I keep getting this error?
Probably because the ADODriver is looking for a table or select statement, not a view. http://smartbear.com/support/viewarticle/13411/

Try using an SQL SELECT statement as the second parameter of ADODriver to obtain the appropriate record set.
Also, you can try connecting to your DB directly via ADO instead of using an ADO driver. This approach is more flexible.
