I am creating a Data Driven test case with Test complete. The test works perfectly, except for whem I go to run the test case a second time it enters the top line of Customer information from the table that Test Complete created. this ultimately fails because the application I am testing checks for duplicate records. I need the test case to pull the next line of data from the table. How can I make the test case pull the next line of data? is it possible? or do I need to create another test to go in and delete the top line of data in the table so that it always pulls new data?
How are you implementing your data driven test case? It sounds like you want to use a data driven loop. For keyword tests, this technique is the best way to make sure you repeat the same set of code with the next line in your data.
For script code, you'll want to use DDT objects.
The whole Data Driven features of TestComplete are documented here
This is the step you have to follow for data driven frame loop should be as
1) Set the Data set pointer to first row of the data storage.
2) Read the first row & execute the test script with this test data.
3) Move to the pointer to next row. Depends on the storage type you
may have to use different methods.
Ex: if you use excel or db storage you may have to use
