The application is build in Java. There are couple of embedded Mozilla pages in the Java Application.
The TestComplete is able to pick objects of the Java Application but when I reach to a page which has got Mozilla Embedded Pages then TestComplete causes crash in the java application.
I have attached the message I get at the time of crash.
My system details are as follows:
O/S: Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3(5.1 Build 2600)
Browser which is embedded in Application: JxBrowser with Mozilla
More information about JxBrowser can be found at: http://www.teamdev.com/jxbrowser/
P.S.: TestComplete is able to work perfectly without any crash if I use it on firefox webpages (here I am talking about standard way of going over internet, which means not from the Java Application) like if I am on google.
Re: Testcomplete causing crash with Java Application
I downloaded a sample from the web page you had mentioned, unpacked it and run the sample using the "rundemo.bat" batch file on a Windows XP SP 3 machine with Java 6 Update 27 installed. Then, I successfully recorded a simple test without an issue. Thus, I suppose that the crashes relate to your environment or to the application you are developing. So, please collect some additional information on the issue:
Check whether the problem persists using the latest version of TestComplete (ver. 8.60).
Try updating JRE to the latest version.
Check whether the mentioned sample application crashes on your machine.
Describe the steps leading to the issue in detail.
