Checkpoint within a drop down box...
Newby to TestComplete...I have a drop down box that I am trying to validate the values within this box. I record in test complete and it captures me expanding the box. When I go to add some checkpoints it only highlights the main outer box. How can I get test complete to recognize there are text options within that main box. I looked on the forum to see if I can find any related topics, if they exist please point me in right direction.
Re: Checkpoint within a drop down box...
You do not need to make the item list show up to create a checkpoint, as a combo box control contains the wItemList property, which holds information about the combo box's items. So, to verify the entire list of the items shown in a drop-down control, you can create a property checkpoint which checks the wItemList property of the target combo. See the "wItemList Property (ComboBox and XULMenuList Controls)" and "Property Checkpoints" help topics for information.
I hope this helps.
