Hi I need to export/capture all the data appearing in swftable and then do certain operation on the data which is meeting certain criteria. As we do it for Web Application:
Browser("IE"). Page("IE").WebTable("Table1").GetROProperty("outrh tml")
Which one is the property for swftable (.NET) to get the whole content? Please help. Thanks
As I understand, you're working with a .NET grid control. If so, I recommend that you take a look at the "Working With Grids" (http://smartbear.com/support/viewarticle/13207/) help topic - it contains links to other topics which can be quite useful for your tasks. The easiest way to capture the entire table and compare it against some predefined data is to use Table checkpoints, but I don't think this approach will work for you, because the feature supports only those controls which are listed in the "Supported Controls and Required Plug-Ins" (http://smartbear.com/support/viewarticle/11153/) help topic (and your control does not seem to be one of them). So, if your control is not specially supported, you will need to implement the needed comparison logic yourself and the "Working With Grids" topic mentioned above will help you with that.
Thanks for your reply. It worked in the usual way but the problem is I'm not getting the column headers (the column names).Can you please tell me how to get the column names:
The code to get the contents of swftable is (worked for me):
Set xlApp = CreateObject("Excel.Application")
xlApp.Visible = True
Set xlBook = xlApp.WorkBooks.Open("D:\Test.xls")
Set xlSheet = xlBook.WorkSheets("Sheet1")
For i=0 to 50
For j=0 to 8
a= SwfWindow("window_name").SwfTable("Table1").GetCel lData(i,j)
It looks like you're using the control's native methods and properties, not TestComplete wrappers, so I can't help you with that, because I'm not familiar with your control. I recommend that you examine the control's documentation to find the property/method you need.
