How to test Graphs/Plots using testComplete
I am using TestComplete 8.2 to test our desktop java application. It basically has a graph with different axes and lines in which I want to test the graph zooming, dragging and selecting a specific plot in the graph. I don't think there would be an easy method via TestComplete and I would like to know more about working with it via its native properties and methods as in the application's code.
I have jar files of the application handy and may I know would that be helpful for me to know the graph objects? If so, please let me know on how I can work on the jar/class files to obtain the graph objects.
Thanks in advance,

Normally, you just need to use methods of the control without addressing them via additional JAR modules. You need to capture your graph with the Object Spy and look at its Methods tab. You will see the list of available methods which you can call in your scripts. Make sure you enable the Advanced view to see them all.
As for accessing methods stored in JARs, you can do this via Java Bridge. To work with objects located in your application, you need to access them via the application's JavaRuntime object (this is important).
