I've heard TestComplete 8 has some new features that allows it to work "well" with silverlight.
Has anyone tried this and how does it work? I'd like to hear your experiences
I also read the help topics that state you need to set windowless=false on the application in order for the automated tests to work - is this still the case with the new version of TC8? Im not sure yet if this will be possible - so need to see if it's a deal breaker from the get-go
Does TC7 also have this support?? We currently have TC7 but were considering upgrading.
Thanks Allen, is there any work around for having a "popped out" silverlight app or is that more or less untestable?
I'm curious to hear more feedback on this issue So far, it isn't a big deal for us at my company but moving forward we plan to do more and more and it COULD become an issue. Would like a way to resolve it when the time comes if possible.
TestComplete uses the UI Automation technology to retrieve information on Silverlight objects. In order to do that, the tool needs a window which will provide this information. If there is no such window, TestComplete will not be able to recognize Silverlight objects.
