In our company's web site (which is developed using .net), there will be a big UI change for few pages. I have a deadline to complete atleast 20 test scripts by November and the new UI change will be in September 1st so I need to know how much effort it would be for me to change the test scripts for object recongnition once the new UI comes up.
Please let me know how can I solve the issue with the new UI changes for existing test scripts and also advise me if I need to wait untill the September 1st to create test scripts or it's ok to go ahead and create the test scripts and change the scripts once the UI change is made.
Thank you so much

This depends on how many changes will be in your page and how exactly the object hierarchy will change. To make creating reliable scripts easier, use Name Mapping. It allows you to work with objects which have the specified sets of properties and children. Also, you can skip hierarchy levels and work with target objects regardless of how their parent-child hierarchy changes (useful if additional parent levels appear).
