Just numbers = null string?
I am trying to automate the logins for a particular application. I pull out the passwords from the database table of my application and then paste it into my excel spreadsheet that I use for the excel driver.
However, if the password happens to contain only numbers, its value is recognised as "null." When I debugged, it said that its type was recognised as "string."
I thought there may be some funky formatting going on. So I cut from the sql table and then into notepad. And then, from notepad to excel I did a paste special and said "Text" (rather than "Unicode text")
The results here were erratic. Thus, I am assuming I am on the right track but I am stuffing something somewhere. Your advice is appreciated.

This is a known problem in the MS Jet engine. You can find more information here.
