Question about Distributed Testing
I'm in the process of learning Distributed Testing and I was just wondering if there are any reasons why we shouldn't have the Master Project and the Slave Project in the same Project Suite.
I've noticed that in the TestComplete Samples they are in 2 different Project Suites. That would be a problem for us since we have a Function Library that we share within our Project Suite and both the Slave and Master Project would need access to it. From what I understand you can't share between Project Suites, right?
If I can't have the Master Project and the Slave Project in the same Project Suite than does anyone have any suggestions on how I could work around this?
Re: Question about Distributed Testing
It is possible to have slave and master projects in the same project suite, and its rather convenient, I did not notice any problems with this. If the folder containing the project suite accessible from the slave machine, you can just specify the network path in the network suite's task path (in the master project).
And if you need the slave project to be located on the target computer, TC has a special feature for that (see "Copying Slave Projects to Remote Computers" help topic)
