I try to register the aqtfsci.dll using:
C:\windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.5.0727\Reg Asm.exe /verbos "C:\Program files\Automated QA\TestComplete 7\bin\aqtfsci.dll"
and got this message in command prompt:
RegAsm: error RA0000 : Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.TeamFoundation.WorkItemTracking.client, version =184.108.40.206, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The system ccanot find the file specified.
Most likely, the "C:\Program files\Automated QA\TestComplete 7\bin\aqtfsci.dll" file is corrupted. Please follow the steps below:
1. Run the TestComplete installer. Select the "Modify" radio button and click "Next".
2. Check "Microsoft Visual Studio 200x Team Foundation Integration" and click "Next".
3. Finish the installation and check whether the problem persists.
I've done the exact steps, however, I can install Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Team system Integration but not Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation System Integration because my computer is not a Team Foundation Server.
You do not need to install TestComplete on the TFS Server.
Sorry that I had not suggested you before that you check whether the "Support for Visual Studio Issue-Tracking System" feature was selected during the installation of TestComplete. Run the installation package, select "Modify", enable the "Extensions | Support for Visual Studio Issue-Tracking System" option (MS Team Explorer needs to be installed in your system), finish the installation and restart your machine.
If TC fails to register the required assembly automatically, try registering it manually by using the RegAsm.exe utility with the "C:\windows\assembly\GAC_MSIL\AQTFSCI\220.127.116.11__fdd b4fd04672c456\AQTFSCI.dll" parameter:
