How to programatically disable test log activation
Is there any known way to programatically disable the automatic opening of the test log at the end of a given run? We are seeing some issues during the posting of the test log where internet explorer crashes/hangs during the publishing which in turn causes Test Execute to never complete and we have to manually end task internet explorer to move on. We are seeing this on both IE7 and IE8.
I know there is a way to manually stop the automatic opening of a test log after a run by right clicking on Test Execute in the system tray.
Options -> Engines -> Log -> uncheck Activate after test run.
Re: How to programatically disable test log activa
Thanks for the information. We actually automatically install Test Execute every time we run our automation on our virtual environment (to ensure that we always have the most up to date version). I suppose the best way to work around this error is to have Test Execute pre-installed on all of our images, and update it each time an update is released. Perhaps in a future version (or patch) functionality could be added to programatically disable the test log from publishing at the end of a run.
