Recognition of objects inside a custom window
I am using TestComplete 4.31 Ent Edition. Im trying to automate the integration between Outlook and my web application. The integration aspects of Outlook and the Web Application are handled by an OLC executable which is delivered in form of MSI (Packaged as an EXE). The custom windows that appear in the outlook for manipulating the integration aspects are not recognised by TC and is shown as Sys.Process("OUTLOOK").Window("HwndWrapper[C:\Program Files\Outlook Connector for XX\;;fc6da702-26ea-49e2-945e-19147d376374]", "Preferences", 1).
The radio options , checkboxes, pushbuttons inside the window need to be recognised in order to proceed with automating the flow.
Any inputs. Kindly help.
Re: Recognition of objects inside a custom window
Please try using MSAA. In your case, you need to add the "HwndWrapper*" window class to the list of accepted windows (right-click your project in Project Explorer | Edit | Properties | MSAA Open Applications). See the "MSAA Support" help topic and the related help topics for details.
Please note that the latest version of the product is TestComplete 7.20. You can request a free trial version here. Does this work better in TC 7?
