I have a function that I want to be able to run with different apps. I would like to be able to pass a keyword var to that function.
example: say I have 3 different apps running, app1, app2 and app3 three. Then I have a function to check if the appx process is running. I would like to define a keyword var for each app, pass the the process name as the keyword var to the function, then check if that particular process name is running.
I only say direct referencing of the keyword vars from the scripts, is it possible to pass the var over and not do a direct reference?
ie: s = KeywordTests.KeywordTest1.Variables.VariableByName ("MsgVar");
There is no need to write a special function to check whether a process exists - the needed functionality has already been implemented in TestComplete. I recommend that you use the approach described in the "Waiting for a Process or Window Activation" help topic.
