Comments on TC7
I do a lot of tests on Context Menus on a GUI and let me tell you, TC7 has made vast improvements in this area! Before, if you had a context menu and tried to pull up the Object Properties dialog, the context menu would disappear before I could get a handle on it. In TC7, it actually stays open and even highlights the menu item. That is AWESOME!!!! This has now reduced soooooo much frustration that, to me, this is one of the best improvements. I just thought I had to comment on that since that is a big part of what I do.
Re: Comments on TC7
To me the biggest improvement from TC6 to TC7 is the speed and quality of results. We used to get quite a number of "false-alarms" in TC6, so we had to break up our tests in smaller chunks (100 tests each), to reduce the frequency of these false errors. In TC7, they must've fixed something, and the occurence of these false-errors have almost disappeared. When we get an error, we know there's something wrong in the AUT or the test. And we can run our full suite in one go, and the execution time is also much quicker. Our full test run has been reduced from 8 hrs down to 5 hrs ! And this is quite significant as this means we can do 2 regression cycles per day ! Whereas before we only had one test run per day.
