We have created a project with many Functions and have a driver script that controls the execution. We have done modularity of scripts upto the required level and now we want to achieve the next level of framework b implementing keyword driven framework. Can you please tell me how can achieve it with test complete 6.0
Can you please tell me what kind of structure you are talking about. Currently we have the following approach.
1. Using DOM model for object recognition.
2. Test scripts modularity as we use multiple units with one having all the generic functions and the rest having independent functionalities
3. Implemented Data Driven approach using DDT object
4. Automated with build process and automated test results.
In this structure we want to introduce implement keyword driven framework for writing tests. Can you please tell me if test complete has any such feature that can let us implement this
By 'structure', I mean the way your scripts are organized and the way they interact with each other. You should be able to create a keyword driven framework by using some external files (such as Excel sheets), which will contain commands. In your scripts, you can read these files and perform some actions according to the commands stored in them (call other functions, work with some objects, etc.).
BTW, TC 7 has a special feature which allows creating keyword driven tests.
