I have to test a web application using test complete in both firefox and IE. I am currently using the tree model. I need to iterate through all the contents of a table to check if it had any links and test. I will not be knowing the rowcount and column count before hand. So, I am using the RowCount and ColumnCount property of testcomplete objects to retreive them and go through the table. This test works fine in IE.
However, when I run the same test using Firefox, for the RowCount property in the Object browser it shows <font color="red">"Error: Exception occurred." </font> and hence i am not able to get both rowCount as well as column count.
I was not able to find any other way to get the row and column count.
Has somebody faced this problem before or knows how I can achieve the above goal?
Thanks in advance
Re: Browser Independent Scripting - Prob in firefox
As far as I understand, you need to retrieve all links which are child objects of a specific web page element (or all links on a web page). If so, I recommend that you use the FindChild method (see the "FindChild Method" help topic for more information). The method is added to all tested objects by TestComplete, and therefore, it does not depend on your browser. Please see our reply in the following newsgroup thread to learn how to enumerate all links on a web page: http://www.automatedqa.com/forums/d.cgi?...39025&utag=
